Grey paper covered boards with quarter linen spine in cream with title in gilt on spine and front cover. Condition: Covers are in fair condition with general shelfwear, scuffing and light soiling to covers as well as some bumping to head and tail of spine. Gum residue of an old price label to top right of front cover. Front pastedown bears the name William Weston (presumably of William Weston Gallery, London). Light foxing to endpapers and occasionally within book. 80pp. 12 tipped-in colour plates, 5 b/w tipped-in plates (inc.frontispiece portrait of Ambrose McEvoy. This book is one of a limited numbered edition of 1500 copies, this being copy no.358. As well as the 12 colour plates (including portraits of the Hon.Mrs Aubrey Herbert, 1917 and the Hon.Mrs Akers Douglas, 1916), the book has a 17 page introduction on McEvoy together with a list of oil paintings and watercolours produced before and during May 1919 and a list of some of the oil paintings and watercolours produced by McEvoy from May 1919 to April 1923.
